As organizations make last-minute changes to their CS:GO rosters before the Intel Extreme Masters in Cologne, Natus Vincere have added Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev as a stand-in player for Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov. The 25-year-old Ukrainian rifler, also known as “somedieyoung,” joins the team on a free temporary loan from MAD Lions.
Sdy has proven to be a valuable addition for the organization, helping the team win BLAST Premier Spring Finals and delivering a solid performance at IEM Cologne. While his presence has been a surprise, his performances have prompted the team to continue to trust him as a possible long-term member of their CS:GO lineup.
sdy will compete at IEM Cologne with the NAVI squad, as well as the team’s other CS:GO players. The decision was based on his performances in Portugal and on the chemistry he has with NAVI’s other players, including star player Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
The organization will begin their run at IEM Cologne in the group stage on July 7. Whether sdy remains with NAVI as a permanent member depends on his performances at the event, according to an announcement from the team on Saturday.
After the tournament, NAVI will have the opportunity to reshuffle their lineup in preparation for BLAST Premier 2022 Fall and ESL Pro League S16. Whether sdy will remain with NAVI as a permanent member or not will depend on his performances at IEM Cologne, as well as his performance with the NAVI team during BLAST Premier 2022 Fall and ESL S16.
