Another book, by Kamaladevi Aravindan, looks at life in an estate across five decades.

From a lithium-ion battery recycler to a programme that ends illegal fishing, the companies will receive a cash grant of up to PS1 million and other support to scale their solutions.

Singapore’s top athletes are getting a new perk this year: The top medallists in the SEA, Asian and Olympic Games will each get a monetary reward of up to $20,000 from the Tote Board. In addition, they will be required to donate a percentage of their MAP awards – the money they earn for a medal in major Games events – to their National Sports Associations for future training and development.
The prize aims to recognise outstanding publications in the country’s four official languages – Chinese, English and Malay. The winner will be presented with a gold medallion and an award certificate. Applicants must be a citizen of Singapore and fulfil the other T&Cs set out in this T&C. Employees (and their Family Members) of any of the sponsors of the prize, and anyone who has been involved in organising or managing this contest, are not eligible to participate in the prize. “Family Members” means spouse, defacto spouse, children or siblings, whether natural or adopted. In addition, parents, grandparents and relatives are not eligible. The decision of the judges will be final. No appeals will be allowed. The prizes are subject to the University’s Statutes and Regulations on Gifts. No cash substitute will be available.
